Bentley sales

After Rolls-Royce, Bentley also hit record sales in 2022

Bentley has become the latest luxury automobile manufacturer to declare record sales, after Rolls Royce’s figures on Monday.

Last year, the English manufacturer founded in 1919, said it delivered 15,174 automobiles.

This was 4% higher than in 2021, thanks to record demand in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Except for China, the corporation recorded revenue increase in every regional market. However, sales in the Americas, Bentley’s largest market, increased at a more moderate rate of less than 1%.

Rolls-Royce disclosed on Monday that it delivered an all-time high of 6,021 vehicles last year, an increase of 8% year on year.

Customization brings record sales for Bentley

Bentley’s “significant” sales results were ascribed to the appeal of new models, hybrid models, and personalized vehicles. Bentley has emphasized customisation, from hand-stitched leather to finishes ranging from walnut to koa wood, and even 5,000-year-old wood harvested from England’s low-lying marsh Fens.

” In what was another year of unpredictability, the business overcame significant headwinds and demonstrated great resilience to deliver the third consecutive record sales year,” said Adrian Hallmark, CEO of the Volkswagen Group-owned company.

The Bentley Bentayga ultraluxury SUV, which starts at roughly 168,000 euros ($180,000), remained the company’s best-selling model in 2022, contributing for 42 percent of vehicle sales.

Americas still the biggest market

The Continental GT and GT Convertible continued to be popular, contributing for 30% of the model mix, with the new, performance-oriented GT Speed, the most dynamic road vehicle Bentley has ever manufactured, accounting for 31% of the model mix.

The premium four-door grand tourer, the Flying Spur, accounted for 28% of total sales, due in part to the debut of the new Hybrid variant, the most sophisticated and ecologically friendly Flying Spur ever.

Since its introduction, the Flying Spur Hybrid has accounted for 30% of the model mix; however, in the United Kingdom, two-thirds of all Flying Spurs sold are hybrids, the highest number in the world.

The Americas retained their status as the world’s largest selling market, selling more than ever before. Last year also saw a huge growth for Bentley Mulliner, the world’s oldest coachbuilder, with personal commissions climbing fivefold in the previous five years.
